The answers we always give are simple; the wine in Tuscany is fantastic! Also, we can recommend hundreds of vineyard tours.
You want to know makes the wine taste even better? The presentation and the person who is leading the tasting experience.
We first met Anthony Freveletti in October of 2018 as we were leading one of our Total Tuscany Experiences. Our first stop with our private guide, Anna Madafferi from Cool Tours was at this beautiful vineyard outside of Florence, Podere Dell'Anselmo. We were greeted by this American with an Italian last name and an accent that is a mix between Chicago, New York, and Italian. From the moment we stepped out of our van, Anthony was grinning from ear to ear an had a larger than life personality. What followed was the most passionate description of the soil, the vine, the grape, and the process of producing wine we have ever heard. We remember leaving the estate thinking that was the most exceptional wine we have ever tasted! Was it? Who knows, but Anthony sure made us feel like it was.
Anthony's passion is why we wanted him to join us on the podcast; he has so much knowledge to share when it comes to wine. What we like best about him is that he's not a wine snob. All that matters to him is that what you drink tastes fabulous, and if it doesn't, he will help you find one that does.
Anthony has been living in Italy for 10-years now, he's married and has a two children. He's lived near Montalcino, Radda in Chianti, and currently, he resides outside of Florence. With a refined pallet for what he calls "juice," he's ready to serve you when visiting Tuscany.
You canemail Anthony directly and following him on Instagram where he shows all of his the wines he is drinking.
Best of all, Anthony is now working with an American, and they have set up an online store where you can purchase some of the best wine in Tuscany. Chianti Services Imports not only sells wine that you can't usually find here in the states but olive oil and balsamic vinegar as well.
